For the HELLZ Fall 2010 collection, it’s all about a woman’s natural femininity with a heavy dose of dominatrix attitude. A dark pallet compliments the flattering curves of each piece, and of course, HELLZ provides a great deal of detail, making each garment something to brag about. This Fall season, designers have taken it up a notch, and rather than succumbing to the overbearing baggy garments that we obsessed over in 2009, the body hugging silhouettes have made their way back into our hearts, and now into our closets. The body is back, and it’s better than ever. Who wouldn’t want to show off their curves their mother blessed ‘em with?
I’m headed to Hawaii this week (yes, again!) and as I’m double checking the itinerary, I can only let out a little squeal in anticipation. Why? What’s the big deal, right? I’ve been to HI 324657654 times, right? I’ve seen all there is to see, RIGHT?
Well, long story short, WRONG. There aren’t enough hours in the day to eat all the things I wanna eat! Yes, I have my staples… The Oahu favorites I cannot live without, but this trip is all about brand new food. Here’s what I had on my last trip, and here’s what I plan to have this week. I’ll be updating you guys next Tuesday on all these ono grindz from the plane ride home.

Cinnamons - Boots and Kimo’s will always have my heart (please believe I’m going there too) BUT…. Guava Chiffon Pancakes? I have to find out what the buzz is about.

This Fall 2010 marks the growth of Hellz, with a more experimental venture entitled ‘The Rest Is Her Story,’ a collection that conveys a classic story of vengeance while simultaneously exuding sensuality and ferocity. Drawing inspiration from revenge and exploitation films such as ‘Lady Snowblood’ and ‘Thriller,’ the collection makes use of a dark color palette to embody the mood & feel of both films. Black, white, and texture are prevalent throughout the collection and accentuate the unorthodox but innovative silhouettes with leather, trims and details. Pieces like the ‘Alice,’ a fitted blazer with exaggerated shoulders and back ruffle detail inspired by anti-heroines who display great strength and confidence while maintaining beauty and grace. Another interesting piece from the collection is the ‘Wonderland, ‘ a fine cotton jersey printed tunic with metal hooks and eye trims, that not only demonstrates the boldness and convention of film vixens, but the brand as a whole as well. A subtle color story, intelligent and experimental silhouettes and contrasting metal details culminate in an exhibition of daring feminine sexuality and confidence, truly proving that ‘The Rest Is Her Story.’
If you happen to reside in the good ol’ Los Angeles California, then you must be aware of the odd weather patterns we’ve gotten this Summer. The sun is shaded by a blanket of clouds, and light jackets with wool tights are looking quite appealing right about now. It look like Fall is coming just a wee bit early.
Speaking of Fall…HELLZ has some goodies coming your way this season, and I can barely keep my mouth shut when it comes to bragging. Misslawn did it FABULOUS! Stay tuned!
Our girls over at Moxsie got a pretty exciting surprise this morning as fashion savvy web site - Refinery 29 featured the girls on their ‘San Francisco Street Style’ post. What’s even more exciting is what these ladies are wearing. Um, can we just focus on all the HELLZ pieces? It’s like a HELLZ Spring/Summer catalog.
