Reeboks X HELLZ Contestants

So, about a week ago, I posted our Reeboks x Hellz shoe contest, which presented fashionistas the opportunity to show HELLZ how they rock their Reeboks. I got a ridiculous amount of girls flaunting their style, to the point where all my emails where of girls and their photos. Out of the large batch of girls, I found 3 photos that I thought were done QUITE well…I’m jealous, I can’t model for shit, nor can I afford the Reeboks. I’m also so surprised that a ton of girls got their hands on them…we only had like 20 shoes in the online shop. JEEZE!
Ok, so this is how we’re going to do this, you vote to see who the “flyest Reebok Rocker” is, and who you think should win this fab contest.

They’re simple, yet amazing and so Hellz Bellz in every way. Everything from the pyramid spikes, to the logos on the back flap are just incredible. I think every Hellz lover has been waiting for something like this. The yellow laces are a fantastic choice as a second option, they really make the shoes pop. Over all, they definatly represent the feel of Hellz x Reebok all in one!
Now, who do you think can easily take the title of “flyest Reebok Rocker”?

I cant control what my friends say, I posted it on my facebook. However, I think the first 10 votes all being for leah? Who’s to say this isn’t all the same person voting over and over again?
Also, the entries said one entry only!!! I had about 100 different pictures taken of me for this. If i knew I could’ve sent more I would’ve, If i knew this was by vote.. I would’nt have entered..Just saying.

Hellz is about having style and class and it’s blatantly obvious to me that you lack class. There’s no need to have your friends mob the blog over a competition meant for fun. You’ve obviously taken it the complete opposite direction and you should be ashamed of yourself. The sad thing is Leah was so excited just to make the finalists and I had to talk her into doing the competition because she felt she had no chance of winning. She’s the sweetest girl and completely in love with Hellz and for you to talk trash like that just makes me a little angry. Another fact is she isn’t the one that posted 2 pictures. I think all the girls did a great job dressing themselves up and having some fun with the contest and that’s really what matters.
Also, Leah didn’t post the video. I did. I thought that the video clips were just ridiculously adorable and I wanted to show the world how amazing Leah is. I mean I hope you’re proud of yourself for being so obnoxious about matters.. do you think you’re representing Hellz in a way that would make them happy? The amazing thing is Leah isn’t even a model.. she’s one of the most talented photographers I know and like I said before, I had to convince her to join because to me she rocks Hellz.
Btw if your friend Ryan would like some tips shooting with a white background i’d be more than happy to give him some pointers.

Stop trying to make me look bad, I have done nothing. I did a free tattoo to get this shoot, so don’t act like she is the only one that worked for this. I AM having fun with this but like I said … I can’t control what my friends say, and who are you to judge who’s nice. WOWWW this has gotten waaaaayy out of control. I don’t know Leah. I voted for her based on her photos. Hers was very well executed. I find it funny that right after Ashley voted for herself, there was a FLOOD of comments voting for her. That’s fine, but the fact that some of the comments were deliberately bashing Leah, that makes me wonder. If you vote for someone, vote for them cuz you like them. I read voting was over but I decided to give my two cents after reading all the comments. I’m pretty detached from being part of the Reeboks x HELLZ community but I’d like to think I could voice my opinion regarding the “drama” and give an outside opinion.
Yes, Ashley did ask people to vote for her but most people would normally say “hey guys you probably don’t know but I’m participating in this so please vote for me” It’s normal and IMHO legit.
To point out, Leah has 2 pictures posted which is unfair because it gives more material for people to be exposed to in order to base their opinion. I would’ve thought it was more fun if only the best picture was brought to the table.
Another point is from an artistic level yes Leah has amazing pictures but it’s supposed to be about the shoes. “How do you rock the shoes” IMHO Leah’s pictures focus on herself and the shoes are an after thought. I admit they are artistic again but first thing you notice with Leah’s pictures is her. The first one showcases her attitude. She’s centered among the pillars and it brings her to your attention. Her shoes are an extention of herself but due to the clothing coordination I think they’re pretty hard to spot. The second picture I automatically see her hair (amazing action shot) but the shoes are not the focal point.
Laura has a pretty cool concept but she’s not wearing the shoes (I think?) they look like boots to me. And it would’ve been cooler if she had matched her graffiti with the shoes.
Ashley on the other hand showcases her shoes. It’s highlighted with light in the center of the photograph. Yes she is posing but it’s simple and to the point. You follow her pose to the shoes. It’s all about the shoes.
Yes, there was trash-talking but like Ashley says… she does not control her friends who vote. Also, the comment about links to websites. I personally do not normally include mine due to privacy reasons but because of what Connie stated I wanted my comment to be taken seriously.
The contest does not judge on personality of the participant (sorry to those that know Leah) but on the statement of the photo.
TL;DR – It’s about the love of Reebok x Hellz and how the girls rock their reeboks. Ask yourself which photos showcase the shoes. At least that’s what I got out of it.

The other part is opinion based and everybody has a right to their own opinion
I shot Leah’s photos so I don’t believe I should be arguing any of your points, rather i’m taking your criticisms as creative critique. I shoot several different genre’s but since everybody views photos differently it’s always nice to have a fresh view. For this set I just wanted Leah to have some fun shooting it and let her personality shine.
In all honesty I really do believe that Leah is dressed the best but that’s just my opinion. Irregardless of if I shot the photos or not, I would’ve voted for Leah, and the whole point of voting was to voice your opinion and let the majority pick the winner. I really hope Hellz keeps doing contests like this because it just makes rocking your favorite brand that more fun.
