You will need the following to make your own ground beef chopper: A meat chopper, a mixing bowl, bread, a fork and some margarine. Firstly, make sure that your ground beef has been wrapped in foil and cooled, this helps prevent it from being dry. Thawing it in the fridge before you use it can cause it to be dry. Place the wrapped beef in your bread mixing bowl and let the bread soak for an hour to overnight and drain off the excess water.
Next you want to cut the beef into chunks and then cut these chunks into thin strips. These strips are the main part of the meat and the parts that you will use to make your chili. Using your meat chopper, cut these strips into about 4 inch strips. Next you want to cook your strips on your stove at about medium high heat. Don’t forget to use oil when cooking, this will prevent your peppers from sticking together and giving you stringy meat.
Once these are done, cut your prepared beef into thin slices again. You will now cook these thin strips and allow them to become overcooked. Using your beef chopper, cut these uncooked strips into thin slices and repeat this process with the rest of the beef chunks.
