Fashion in the Mirror: Self Reflection In Fashion Photography
Fashion in the Mirror is an exhibition in London that questions the typical look on beauty,and celebrates the talented photographers behind each fabulous editorial. The exhibition presents the outside viewer a rare chance to see the photographer behind the scenes showcasing images from the 1940’s to the present day.
The photographers are shown in an extremely alien manner, that we don’t normally see in our usual editorials. We see the actual photographer in the work space, where their gaze is mirrored and we really get a feel of the humor and poetry within each shot. In reality, the fashion industry is nothing but smoke and mirrors…apparent within the exhibit where all the secrets and glamor unravles and comes to the surface.
