chomp chomp…

*** UPDATE: I just received an email from Julie at Patricia Field… they’ve apologized, pulled the product from their store and told me know they were unaware the item they purchased through a vendor was a knock off. They were very sincere in their apologies and I greatly appreciate the quick response… See that’s why I love Patricia Field. Hopefully you’ll be seeing the real Hellz in there soon.
————————————————————————————————————————-
Whoever said “imitation is the highest form of flattery” obviously didn’t give a fuck about their craft… ’cause I’m nowhere near “flattered” when I see something that’s a direct knock off of my shit. Don’t get me wrong, I understand that everyone is somewhat influenced by other artist, designers, musicians… whatever it may be BUT I’m quite sure that REAL artist find inspiration and then flip it to give it their own twist, which was definitely NOT the case here…
I paid a visit to the Patricia Field store in NY (which I love… I come here all the time for their accessories & plus I simply love Pat), and as I was browsing thru the racks low and behold this tee pops up!!!

WOW!!! I mean, I have no words… actually fuck that, I have plenty of words to say. I’m shocked and disgusted that someone would straight up bite my Coco x Hellz tee… chomp chomp!!! Every highlight is exact… even my subliminal “M” on the wrist for Misslawn… The only difference is they took out Hellz.
Here’s the original… compare for yourself & lemme know your thoughts.

I can’t believe that was at a Patricia Field store.
I suggest you grab every single one you find & trash that shit Miss Lawn.
Shit isn’t cool AT ALL.

Hey Liberty… I did work for the Patricia Fields x Rocawear project called “House of Rocawear.” I’ve been a HUGE fan of hers since my experience working w/ her & her team and of course because of the work she’s done as a stylist. So as a fan of hers, I’m really disappointed BUT I’m trying to give her company the benefit of the doubt because maybe it was another brand that she carries in her store that knocked off my graphic BUT then again, there were no labels on the garment which lead me to believe that it may be an in house item… hmmmm.

Wow, i can’t believe someone would jock your creativity and not to mention, it was selling at a Patricia Fields store. You should’ve grabbed it and burned that shiz nit!
