Have you ever been in a restaurant where the service was despicable? How about BEFORE entering the restaurant?
After having lunch on the Westside to feast at one of our favorite restaurants, Furaibo (we traveled 10 miles for it).. we stopped by a crepes cafe across the street for dessert. I wouldn’t necessarily call it a cafe but whatever the hell it was, there were signs plastered all over the windows, doors, trashcan with messages of pure hate! Thing was, they were all mistakenly funny translations with a lot of broken Engrish.
Inside there was this old Japanese man in this heated 10 X 10 space with the kitchen taking about 80% of the room. I can see why he’s bitter but dang.
Don’t step in until you are ready! We don’t help those who don’t make up their mind! (The crepes look good though…)

The owner’s name is Tommy, and he’s a super crazy Japanese man as you guys can see from the signs! He hates everyone except for women and couples for some reason! One time he got some lip from a male customer and challenged him to a street fight! Tommy got his ass beat by this customer. I live around Sawtelle and used to work there, it’s a small community where everyone knows everyone. If you’re a girl and you’re sweet Tommy will be nice to you. If you’re a guy…watch out!
