Bookworm Club: Thoughtless by S.C Stephens
Posted by misslawn on September 7th, 2012
I was meaning to post this yesterday but I got wrapped up with work and finishing another book I was reading (of course). No worries tho cuz I can guarantee you that my first book review is worth the wait… however, let me start off by telling you what kind of books I generally read and NOOOO I’m not into smut reading, that’s what porn is for, hellowwwww BUT i do love a good romance / love triangle / hot & steamy read. Nothing interest more than a book that has me gasping for air in disbelief, leaving me with no words to describe how I’m feeling other than, “OH. MY. GAAAAWD.”
That being said, here’s Thoughtless by S.C. Stephens:

For almost two years now, Kiera’s boyfriend, Denny, has been everything she’s ever wanted: loving, tender and endlessly devoted to her. When they head off to a new city to start their lives together, Denny at his dream job and Kiera at a top-notch university, everything seems perfect. Then an unforeseen obligation forces the happy couple apart.
Feeling lonely, confused, and in need of comfort, Kiera turns to an unexpected source – a local rock star named Kellan Kyle. At first, he’s purely a friend that she can lean on, but as her loneliness grows, so does their relationship. And then one night everything changes…and none of them will ever be the same.
que… “OH. MY. GAAAWD.”
Ok… my girl Kat referred this book to me and started off by saying,
“This is one of the BEST books I’ve ever read!”
Woah… that’s a lot coming from her considering she reads like 3 books a week. So of course I had to read the synopsis and see what all the fuss was about. I read it and initially thought, “eh” BUT thank gawd I gave it a shot… alleluuu!!!
I loved this book so much that I’m a bit nervous to even review it to be honest. Seriously, no words can do this book justice BUT i’m gonna give it a shot….
As mentioned in the synopsis, Thoughtless is a full on gut wrenching story about Kiera, a young woman torn between 2 equally deserving hotties. One being, Denny, her super sweet, super safe Australian beau of two years and the other being her new rock-god hottie room mate, Kellan Kyle (swoooon)… you know, the typical recipe for the perfect love-triangle where everyone gets hurt. Man, my heart is hurting thinking about it, lol…
Thoughtless was everything and then some of what I think a contemporary romance novel should be like. It was frustrating, sexy, juicy and did I mention frustrating?! God, you don’t even know how many times I wanted reach into my phone (yes, I read on my iPhone), strangle Kiera and force her to make a decision already. Believe me when I say, X2 at Six Flags has nothing on the emotional roller coaster this book put me through. It had me emotionally drained and yearning for more… More drama, more KELLAN KYLE and hellowww, more sex (not that there wasn’t already plenty of it and not in a Fifty Shades of Grey kinda way).
S.C. Stephans is such an incredibly gifted writer that had me turning page after page, reading up until the sun came up. The characters that she created, Denny, Keira & Kellan (can’t forget Kellan!) were so believable and made me feel for them like I frickin’ new them and shit. It also opened my eyes to the realities of both sides to an affair… sometimes you can’t fight the feelings in your heart or down there… if yah know what I mean, ha!
Now if I had to simply describe the emotions that I felt when reading Thoughtless in a few words they’d be:
intrigued. elated. confused. horny. frustrated. hurt. anxious. submersed.
It was perfection. It was beautiful. It was and is my favorite book to date (Thanks Kat!)… Read it now and enjoy cuz I know you will. In the meantime, to leave you with some eye candy… I’d like to show yah who I envisioned as MY Kellan Kyle…

Oh hi… Charlie Hunnam.. You can be my “rock god” any day!!!
