As Summer comes to a slow end, I find myself diving into new realms of music to fit my mood. This past week I’ve become rather obsessed with Best Coast, and their newest album, ‘The Only Place’. It’s been on constant repeat with absolutely NO hints of ever pushing “STOP”. Although there are hints of familiarity from their last album, ‘Crazy for You’, I feel like this new one has a lot more sentimental value as it covers a range of things I myself am going through presently. One of my most favorite songs from the “Only Place” album is ‘No one like you’. It has this whole ‘love-sick’ meets ‘Dirty Dancing’ feel to it, that is oh-so gushy in the best possible way. Also, I am so infatuated by singer, Bethany Cosetino’s vulnerability she portrays in this song. It’s just so raw. I highly recommend you listen to the whole album yourself…but of course, ONLY if you like to feel like a song is giving you one large bear hug. If that describes you, then what are you waiting for?!
